I am a native and it sounds like you are pretty well set as far as managing your time. Dfrey makes good suggestions on how to split up your days.
Dining: I would skip Hard Rock and ESPNzone - tourist traps and not even good. Ellen's is a great idea. I sent my niece there last yearwith a group of friends for her 16th birthday and they loved it! If you go for lunch there won't be a big crowd. For dinner best to get there about 6:00 PM - before the theatre rush crowd gets there. They do not take reservations.
John's Pizzeria - 260 West 44th Street is another good place for pre-theatre dinner - but very crowded so an early arrival is suggested. The building was once an old church and the architecture is very interesting. Italian food menu and the food is pretty good and reasonable. Right next door is Carmine's - you may be lucky enough to get in - long lines but good food and not pricy.
Most of the restaurants on Theatre Row - West 46th Street between 8th and 9th - are a bit pricy and touristy.
9th Avenue between 42nd and 60th has great restaurants that are reasonable and good and put you right in the heart of Broadway.
Shopping: SoHo is a bit expensive for shopping in my opinion. But when you are visiting the World Trade Center site, Century 21 is across the street and great for shopping. Try not to go during 'lunch hour' that's when most of the working people head there. H&M, Forever 21 and Daffy's are all great stores that your daughter will love. There are numerous locations throughout the city for all of these stores - you can check them out on the internet.
Hope this helps - Have a great time!!

ReplyDeletewhat kind of simpleton actually concludes there is a substantive difference between the horseshit peddled by major, organized religions and scientology? and what sort of banal observation is it that angels are as ridiculous as aliens? hardeep is a fairly convincing dramatist, but nonetheless a complete tit.
ReplyDeleteAnother potential way to do a lot of this stuff is with an organization called Metapsychology. It's purely secular though. It's not a religion just theraputic techniques and processes etc. .
ReplyDeleteFree zoners seem so laid back and serene. They seem to be the only ones reaping any benefits from this shit.
ReplyDelete"XENU is the Genesis for $cientology" It sounds even more pathetic when you put it that way.. how sad....

ReplyDeleteHardeep is fucking hilarious. This is great, regardless of his outcome.
ReplyDelete"Flunk, post-coital" LOL'd this guy is AMAZING
Xenu is the genesis of Scientology.
ReplyDeleteMan's unconcious starts with a galactic over lord bring beings from his galaxy here to Earth because of over population.
He killed them in volcanos ( hence the volcano on Dianetics ) and implanted their souls with images. These souls are the basis of all our problems today.
This IS Scientology in a nutshell.
LRH was a Science Fiction writer. It's all he knew. Scientology is a Sci-Fi Cult.
:-)
It takes an average of 2-3 days to be indoctrinated into a cult.
ReplyDeleteHardeep - too bad you didn't get to OT3. Wonder how you would feel about scientology then.
ReplyDeleteYou have to have an understanding(ie...experience) with the word. All he is trying to do is not take over the individual, but let the individual take over himself.
ReplyDeleteYou have to understand for yourself and not because someone else tells you what it means. You have to understand the meaning of what numbers, variables, and functions are. Not becuase people told you so, but you have tested it for yourself and know it is true.
ReplyDeleteYou could tell me that the grass is green, but if I am color blind that has a diffrent meaning for me. The great concern is that we take what people tells us and their attitudes as reality and do not examine there arguments ourselves
Same thing can be said about math.
ReplyDeleteI agree. To me, it seems the way of thought/philosophy is not the enemy, but the so called "Church" that takes in millions and exploits people.
ReplyDeleteinteresting how they richly bombard a person with "facts" and "truths" that they can agree with until they agree that anything LRH says is true, wall of fire is a good description, a heightened test of how indoctrinated and conditioned a person has become
ReplyDeleteHardeep is a great man because he went into Scientology with an open mind and he saw the true side of Scientology. This is the side people on youtube never see.
ReplyDeleteThese guys are touching each other more and more as the documentary goes on. There's too much fluff and not enough real info on scientology. Just another Brit being sarcastic instead of being journalistic.
ReplyDeletehe makes a good point here with the dictionary.
ReplyDeletethe dude is positively compulsive about refering to the dictionary, when as we all know the deeper spiritual meanings of words are not in there, only the basic litteral ones.
this basicly closes the door to any meaning but the most superficial.
